Cushman Library’s Book Discussion Group has been meeting around the big table for decades. We meet one Monday each month from 6:30 to 7:30, choosing a date that works best for the most people. Participants take turns choosing what books we will discuss, including all genres in the mix. We have been meeting via Zoom, which has actually been quite fun, with friends from other states joining us while proximity did not limit participation, but on June 27th we will be gathering on our beautiful pondside patio.
Our next book is Alka Joshi’s The Secret Keeper of Jaipur, the sequel to The Henna Artist, which we read earlier this year. To celebrate our first on-site gathering and the culture at the heart of Joshi’s books, participants are invited to order dinner through us from Namaste’, which will be delivered by one of our members and then enjoyed together as we discuss the book. If you would like to join us for this event, we have copies of this month’s selection available at the circ desk and you can contact Karen Stinchfield regarding ordering food.
